Ingredients: 4 large russet potatoes 2-3 cups vegetable oil (for frying) Salt to taste Optional: paprika, garlic powder, or other seasonings Instructions: Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips. Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry with paper towels. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches for about 3-4 minutes until they are golden and crispy. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt and any other desired seasonings while the fries are still hot. Serve immediately.
